Professionally, she is a Senior Business Analyst with the Capital Group.

Janet is a proud Japanese-Irish-American mom of a 17 year old  transgender daughter.  She is married to David and they live in Torrance, California.  Janet spent 19 years with Toyota Motor Sales and chose to leave the company when they made the decision to move to Texas.  She has been with North Torrance High School in the Principals' Office for the past year.  She has been an advocate for her beautiful daughter and
involved with PFLAG SGV API Chapter for the past nine years.

Barney Cheng is a Taiwanese-American writer-director-producer-actor and an advocate for LGBTQ+ and Asian-American visibility and representation. His landed on the Hollywood map as an actor with his acclaimed performance in Woody Allen's Hollywood Ending.  The New York Times described Barney's comedic timing as "surgically precise." The Orange County Register raved that Barney "steals every scene he's in."

Barney collaborated with Oscar-winning Producer Li-Kong Hsu (Crouching Tiger, Hidden DragonThe Wedding BanquetEat Drink Man Woman) and directed his feature film Baby Steps. A US-Taiwan-China co-production, Baby Steps  received the 2014 Tribeca Film Institute’s All Access award. The San Francisco Chronicle calls Baby Steps an “engaging” and “touching” film. “Inarguably, here’s an LGBT film created by and starring Asian-Americans that is definitely worth applauding,” raves Huffington Post. “Baby Steps is becoming more and more relevant by the second.”

Danny Cortez was the founding pastor of New Heart, a former Southern Baptist church that became an inclusive space for LGBTQ+ people. In 2018, he stepped down from pastoring the local church and founded Estuary Space, a non-profit that helps people and churches navigate through the complexities of faith and sexuality. He serves as a board member of Q Christian Fellowship and recently authored the organization’s Relational Guide for Clergy. He also serves on the board of PFLAG SGV. He co-founded My Refuge House, a non-profit that restores survivors of commercial sexual exploitation (CSE) and abuse. He serves regularly as a hospice chaplain. Born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, Alan is second generation Chinese-American.  He is proud to have grown in the first and only Asian-American majority assembly district in California.  Alan's parents are both from Hong Kong.  With a fervor for civic engagement, Alan volunteers also with API Equality LA and many other LGBTQ+ activist organizations.  Alan is a California State Polytechnic University, Pomona alumni with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems. He understands conversational Cantonese.
"My parents are originally from Hong Kong, making me a first generation American and a second generation immigrant.  Although I don't plan on being a politician, I think it's important for all Americans to be actively involved in their communities."

Viki is a native Angelino and third generation hapa (Japanese American and Caucasian) who resides in the San Gabriel Valley. She has over 20 years of experience working in nonprofit and corporate philanthropic sectors, addressing educational access, environmental justice, youth development and health equity. As a life-long ally and proud Auntie, she is committed to uplifting and supporting the LGBTQ+ community and advocating for equity and inclusion for all.

Sung was born in South Korea and immigrated to the US when she was 7 years old. Although she was sheltered in her conservative Christian bubble for 30+ years, when her younger child came out as transgender, she knew God had a purpose for her and her family. Rather than her faith in God being shaken, her journey of initial confusion evolved and she has become a vocal and visible advocate and ally, affirming and loving LGBTQ+ people, especially those of Korean descent. Her journey has made her more compassionate to the amazing people who drew her out of her comfort zone.

Wai was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to the US when he was 2 years old. He is the spouse of Sung Tse and has come to realize how important and uncommon it is for fathers be vocal and visible in support of their LGBTQ kids. He is becoming more active and visible as an example to other supportive fathers as well as to affirm and support LGBTQ+ people.
